Magnum Photo Assignment

After looking at the different photographers on the Magnum website, one of the photographers that stood out to me was Miguel Rio Branco from Brazil. Some of his work features moments of action with a slow shutter speed that really emphasizes this. I didn't come across any black and white photos, only color that were grainy and tended to be darker toned. I've never shot like this before, so that's why I took on this challenge.

A Specific Type of People

I've been commuting by Frontrunner lately. This inspired me to do this project on something dealing with public transportation. I decided to narrow it down to only UTA bus drivers and their individual stories.

This is Daron. He said that once the economy took a nose dive, he needed to find another job. He had no experience in driving a bus and he said, " it's better than finance!"

Meet Keith, "You've got 14 seconds to take a picture..."
Ryan was recruited to drive buses in Alaska. Since then, he's kept it up with UTA
Tonja thought she was not pretty enough for a photo, I told her otherwise.  She lightened up and let me snap this photo of her.

This is Winston. He is one loyal gentleman. He needed a job that didn't require so much travel out of state so he could be with his new born daughter. That was 15 years ago.
